The development of the strategic, innovative and research initiatives as well as international collaborations are managed and led by the Clinical Director of the Oral and Maxillofacial surgery Department, Thomas Kofod Steengaard. He has high ambitions and aims to make the Department a powerhouse in not only Europe, but worldwide, and will in this effort need a strong leader who can manage and lead the daily operations and personnel.

The position
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced head dentist to lead the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, which employs 90 dentist, nurses and secretaries. As Head Dentist, you manage 30 specialised dentists, and you are responsible for expanding and strengthening the Department by attracting and retaining qualified dentists.
The operational management of the department will be another responsibility where you are in charge of organising the daily operations, implementing workflows, collaborating with the schedule planner on shift plans, coordinating patient flows with the Head Nurse and taking care of surgical functions and outpatient work.
About you
We are looking for an educated dentist, with a specialisation in oral and maxillofacial surgery or orthodontics. You are passionate about management and have preferably experience as a leader. You are persistent, structured, and can prioritise tasks in a busy department.
